This is our indicative AFL draft order panel which shows how the draft order currently plays out and which picks each club has.
The pick numbers can change after trade period as teams receive compensation for some player moves and teams could still trade live picks during the draft.
Geelong are adding Eddie Betts to their coaching staff for 2022. Betts will join the Cats as a development coach after his extensive AFL career with Carlton and Adelaide finished.
âEddie has seen the game from every angle, starting on the rookie list and growing into one of the gameâs best and most influential figures,â Geelongâs general manager of football Simon Lloyd said in a statement.
âHis knowledge, wisdom, leadership and experience will be a great asset for our team. Eddie is a great communicator, and he is excited to work with our players, Chris and our coaching staff, and everyone involved with the club. We are equally excited that he has chosen to join our club.â

Betts said he was looking forward to the development of his post-playing career.
âI am really excited by the opportunity to work with Geelong,â Betts said.
âGeelong is a successful club with a magnificent culture that has always been consistently strong, and I cannot wait to get involved. Iâm excited to support the club and Iâm looking forward to being able to grow myself as well. Geelong is known for developing people and that is also an exciting element of joining the club.â
Daniel Cherny: Jeremy Finlaysonâs departure means GWSâs entire 2014 draft crop has left the club: Jarrod Pickett (pick No.4), Caleb Marchbank (6), Paul Ahern (7), Patrick McKenna (23), Jeremy Finlayson (NSW Zone Selection), Jack Steele (NSW Zone Selection).
Geelongâs list chief Stephen Wells has outlined the clubâs interest in both Jonathon Ceglar and Tyson Stengle.
But the status of Darcy Fort was central to any moves on the Hawks big man, Well said.
âThe reason we made some inquiries about Jonathon is because there was some interest in Darcy Fort from another club,â Wells said on SEN.
âWe have made some inquiries but that would all be dependent on whether Darcy Fort stays at the Cats and thatâs still to be worked through.
âItâs been public or reported that Brisbane have shown some interest in Darcy and thatâs right. If I had to guess right now, I reckon that Darcy will still be at Geelong next year.â
Wells confirmed the Cats were weighing up the pros and cons of former Richmond and Adelaide small forward Stengle.
âWe think Tysonâs had a terrific period with Woodville-West Torrens. Heâs been a good player in the SANFL all year including a good performance in the premiership winning team.
âWe do have some interest in Tyson and heâs very lucky heâs got a man like Eddie [former AFL player Eddie Betts, who is set to join Geelongâs coaching panel] in his corner.
âWe havenât committed to him yet, but itâs not just us that says we want Tyson. Heâll have to make that decision himself in conjunction with his management team. Tysonâs in a terrific position where he can have a bit of control over the decision that he makes and where he has his next opportunity at AFL level.
âWeâd be pleased if Tyson ended up with Geelong.â
With Jeremy Finlayson set to join Port for a future third round pick, Hawthorn are expecting free agent Tim OâBrien to join the Western Bulldogs. OâBrien had also attracted interest from the Power.

Geelong have confirmed interest in ex-Richmond and Adelaide small forward Tyson Stengle. The goalsneak, who parted ways with the Crows ahead of this season after a string of off-field misdemeanours, has started for the SANFLâs Eagles to put himself in the frame for another shot at the big time. Geelong list chief Stephen Wells confirmed on SEN that the Cats were among the clubs looking at Stengle.
